The remake of puzzle game Myst is coming to iOS and iPadOS. Modern iPhones and iPads with an A12 chip can run the game. The mobile port of the 2021 remake runs on the Unreal Engine just like that version and costs 15 euros.

Developer Cyan Worlds writes on Twitter that it will release a new version of Myst Mobile. That’s a port of 2021 Myst, a remake of the game released that year. The makers say that the game has been ‘rebuilt from the ground up’ and will now be available for iOS. 2021 Myst is built on the Unreal Engine and was released two years ago for PC and Oculus VR headsets. There have been several remakes of Myst in the past that were also playable on mobile, including realMyst, which featured 3D graphics for the first time.

The new port can only be played on iOS devices with an A12 Bionic CPU or higher. These are currently iPhones since the XS and XS Max and the XR. The eighth generation iPad and third generation iPad Air and newer models can also run the game. The game is free to download, but players can only play the first level, Myst Island, for free. Then they have to pay 15 euros.
