Custom Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti video card appears in GPU-Z screenshot
A GPU-Z screenshot of a custom Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti video card has surfaced. This screenshot confirms previously leaked specifications. The video card is expected to be announced on June 1.
The screenshot comes from French tech site Ginjfo, also notes Twitter user momomo_us on. The GPU-Z software was recently updated to version 2.40.0, giving the program support for Nvidia’s upcoming GPUs. The screenshot confirms, among other things, the specifications of the GA102-225 GPU that would be used in the RTX 3080 Ti. For example, the screenshot confirms that the chip has 12,240 CUDA cores. The GPU runs on an as yet unreleased Nvidia 466.45 driver. The website has made the subvendor name unrecognizable, but the device ID number contains ‘1458’, which, according to VideoCardz, means that it is a modified model of Gigabyte.
Furthermore, the clock speeds are also confirmed. The RTX 3080 Ti gets a standard clock speed of 1365MHz. The turbo frequency of this modified model is 1710MHz, where the RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition would get a boost clock of 1665MHz according to previous rumors. The memory configuration is also confirmed in the screenshot. The RTX 3080 Ti gets 12GB of GDDR6X memory, with a speed of 19Gbit / s. In combination with the 384bit memory bus, the theoretical bandwidth would be 912GB / s.
Nvidia will hold a GeForce presentation on June 1 at 7:00 am time. The company is expected to announce its GeForce RTX 3080 Ti at that event. An RTX 3070 Ti is also expected, with slightly more cores and faster memory than the regular RTX 3070. Reviews of the RTX 3080 Ti should be published on June 2, and the video card would go on sale on June 3. The RTX 3070 Ti will be released a week later, according to previous rumors.
