Cuphead will get DLC with new playable character next year
Cuphead, the side scrolling game from Canadian studio MDHR, is getting an expansion called The Delicious Last Course in 2019. The DLC also introduces a new playable character.
That character goes by the name Ms. Chalice, she takes her place alongside the existing characters Cuphead and his brother Mugman. MDHR writes that the dlc also contains other additions, such as a new island, new weapons and new bosses. It’s unclear what the new character’s moves will be, though the studio writes that it’s “a new twist on Cuphead’s standard moveset.”
The DLC will be released sometime in 2019 for PC and Xbox One, and will also be available to purchase through Steam and GOG. The original Cuphead game was released in September 2017 and harks back to the so-called rubber hose animation style, which is known from early Disney cartoons. By the end of 2017, two million copies of the game had been sold.
