Crysis Remastered Trilogy Coming October 15
Crytek will release the remastered versions of Crysis 2 and 3 on October 15. These games are then for sale separately or in a bundle with the entire trilogy. The remasters include improved lighting effects and textures.
While the original game ran at 720p and 30fps, the remastered versions should “run between 1080p and 4k” at 60fps, Crytek writes. The developer is referring to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, where Dynamic Resolution is used. Furthermore, Crytek has improved the appearance of the games’ characters, weapons and environments.
The remasters only contain the single player campaigns and therefore do not include the multiplayer of the original games. The games will be released on October 15 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC. The bundle of three games costs 50 euros, although the games can also be purchased separately for 30 euros each.
Crytek announced the Crysis Remastered Trilogy three months ago, with the last two parts never having been remastered before. The remaster of the first Crysis game was released over a year ago.
