Crossplay in Destiny 2 turned on early but turned off again
- Destiny 2 players will note that crossplay is activated and thus they can play together with gamers on other platforms. That position is in the works, but not yet ready, Bungie says. Crossplay is turned off again.
- Some players have one sneak peek had for crossplay ‘, writes Bungies community manager on Twitter. “It is not the intention that this is already live and not representative of the full experience,” he continues.
- Bungie is set to disable public access to crossplay again later this week, but until then players will be able to take advantage of it. That does not work smoothly yet, players note. That’s why the feature isn’t officially available yet.
- At the end of last year, Bungie announced that Destiny 2 will have crossplay between all platforms in 2021, but it is not known when. The game is available on PC and Stadia, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S. It was already possible to transfer accounts and save games between the different platforms. Destiny 2 has also been playable for free since last year.
