Crash Bandicoot 4 coming to PS5, Xbox Series consoles and Switch on March 12
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be available on March 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. Activision released the title for the PS4 and Xbox One last year, and a PC version will also be released this year.
Activision says part four of the series will also be available for PC sometime “later this year,” via Battle.net. Exactly when that will be is still unknown. On the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the game will run in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second, while on the Series S there will be a lower resolution that will be ‘scaled up to 4k’. In addition, the publisher speaks about the faster loading times and ‘3D audio effects’ with the next-gen consoles.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was released last October for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players who already own the game for one of these consoles will get the next-gen upgrades to Crash Bandicoot 4 at no cost in case they want to play the title on the PS5 or Xbox Series X or S. Save games can also be transferred.
The title of this fourth game refers, among other things, to an element in the game. There are four Quantum Masks with special properties. One of them is the Time Mask. When Crash puts on that mask, he can slow down time to perform certain actions. There is also a Gravity Mask, which allows protagonist Crash to walk at the bottom of platforms.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will cost fifty euros on the Nintendo Switch and seventy euros for the Xbox and PlayStation platforms. The game can also be pre-ordered on Battle.net for an amount of forty euros.
