Crackdown 3 will be released on February 15, 2019 for Xbox One and Windows 10
Microsoft has announced that Crackdown 3 will be released on February 15, 2019. The game was postponed several times. The publisher also shows the multiplayer mode in a new trailer, which gets the title Wrecking Zone.
In the multiplayer mode, two teams of five people play against each other in a game environment that can be ‘completely destroyed’. The goal is to destroy the opponent’s tower. According to Microsoft, the Azure cloud service is used to enable the destruction in the multiplayer mode.
Crackdown 3 is for the Xbox One and Windows 10, within the Play Anywhere program. If players purchase the game digitally, they can play it on both platforms. The game is also part of the Game Pass subscription, like all first party games from the Xbox maker.
In 2014 Crackdown 3 was announced and initially, the game would be released in 2017. That was postponed to 2018 and later that date was not feasible. Earlier it was rumored that the game was postponed until 2019 and that Microsoft has confirmed with the new publication date.
Microsoft announced the publication date on its XO2018 event . There, the publisher also announced that the first Crackdown game is free to download until November 30th. That game was already optimized for the Xbox One X.
