‘Crackdown 3 has been postponed to 2019’
According to sources from game website Kotaku, Microsoft has again delayed the release of Crackdown 3. The game was announced in 2014 and was scheduled to release in 2018 after a previous delay, but that may now be sometime in 2019.
Kotaku reports that two sources familiar with the release plans have said the game will be released in 2019. Polygon has confirmed this postponement until 2019 via its own source. It is not clear when the game will be released in 2019.
With the new delay until 2019, Microsoft reportedly wants to give the Sumo Digital development team more time to prevent a possible disaster. This refers to games that should have been released for the Xbox One, but never appeared, such as Fable Legends, a remake of Phantom Dust and Scalebound.
Crackdown 3 was originally planned to be released in 2016, but later this would be November 7, 2017, the day of the release of Microsoft’s Xbox One X console. However, Microsoft announced that that date was not met and that the release would follow in 2018. That will probably be sometime in 2019. Perhaps more will become clear at the upcoming E3 show, where the game is expected to be shown.
