The annual CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show in Japan is cancelled. The organization has canceled the event due to the 2019-nCoV coronavirus outbreak. The four-day event was set to kick off on February 27.

In a statement on its website, the organization reports that the fair will not take place. It is expected that 70,000 visitors would have come to the fair to try out the latest cameras. The organization says it does not want to take any risks and therefore does not let the fair go ahead.

Whether the cancellation of the CP+ will affect the introduction of new cameras is unclear. Most manufacturers have already announced new devices in recent weeks, presumably they would have wanted to take them to the fair to show them to the public.

Canon presented the EOS 850D this week and announced the development of the EOS R5. Nikon released all the details of its D6 DSLR and Olympus announced the OM-D E-M1 Mark III. Fujifilm unveiled its X-T4 and X-T200 mirrorless cameras. Sony has not announced any new cameras. It is possible that the manufacturer is or was planning to do so around the fair.
