Corsair releases Carbide SPEC-05 budget housing for 55 euros
Corsair adds a new model to its line of affordable Carbide SPEC housings. The SPEC-05 is a midtower for atx motherboards, with a transparent acrylic side. The manufacturer supplies a 120mm fan with red LEDs.
The Corsair Carbide SPEC-05 offers space for video cards of up to 37cm long and power supplies of 18cm. The processor cooler should not be higher than 15cm. The acrylic side panel takes up almost the entire side, just like a more expensive case with a tempered glass panel.
There is room for four 120mm or 140mm fans and a 240mm radiator can be placed at the front. Corsair supplies a 120mm fan with the housing that is equipped with red LEDs. That produces a red glow on the front of the housing.
Furthermore, the cabinet offers space for two 3.5″ drives and two 2.5″ HDDs or SSDs. At the bottom is a removable dust filter. Corsair has released the housing for a suggested retail price of 54.90 euros.
