Corsair introduces two new budget housings. The 110Q and 110R are the successors of the Carbide 100Q and 100R. The Q version is equipped with sound-absorbing material, the R version has a side panel made of tempered glass.

In many ways, the Corsair 110Q and 110R are similar to their predecessors, but Corsair has updated the housings in a number of ways. For example, there are now connection points to attach SSDs behind the motherboard and the cabinets have a removable part to place HDDs in.

The new cabinets still offer space for an optical drive, but now there is room for one copy, the 100 series could accommodate two drives. The result of this change is that the cabinets offer more space on the inside.

The 110Q and 110R are atx enclosures with dimensions of 418x210x480mm. It can accommodate a video card with a maximum length of 330mm, the power supply may be 180mm long and the CPU cooler may not be higher than 160mm. The weight of the 110Q is 6kg, the 110R weighs 6.5kg due to the tempered glass side panel.

Corsair has both units on its website for $70. The 110R is available at web shops and costs about 55 euros. The 110Q is already listed in the Pricewatch at some shops, but is not yet available from stock and the high price of 100 euros is probably not representative.
