Corsair introduces Obsidian 500D case with ‘smoky’ glass side panels
Corsair has announced the Obsidian 500D. The atx housing has tempered glass side panels, which have a smoky effect. Furthermore, the front panel is equipped with a USB-c port.
The Obsidian 500D is primarily made of steel, with tempered glass side panels and an aluminum panel on the top. On the inside there is room for an atx motherboard with up to seven plug-in cards.
At the bottom of the housing is a separate space in which the power supply and two 3.5″ disks can be housed. At the back of the motherboard plate there is room for three 2.5″ disks. In addition to the usual two USB 3.0 ports and two audio ports, the front panel also has a USB-c port, which can handle USB 3.1 gen 2 speeds.
For ventilation, there is room for three 120mm fans or two 140mm variants at the front, space for two 140mm fans at the top and a single 120mm model at the rear. The fan locations also accommodate radiators of the same size. Corsair supplies two 120mm fans as standard.
The Corsair Obsidian 500D is available immediately for a suggested retail price of 155 euros. Hardware.Info wrote a review about it.
