Cooler Master wants to release housing for Raspberry Pi 4
Cooler Master has designed a case for the Raspberry Pi 4 and wants to market it after a Kickstarter campaign. The Pi Case 40 includes a configurable power button.
Cooler Master presents the Pi Case 40 as a case to take the Raspberry Pi 4 on the go. The housing is made of aluminum and the passive cooling allows higher processor clock speeds, according to the company. With the Raspberry Pi 4, throttling of the ARM cores occurs when the temperature exceeds 80° Celsius and with both the ARM cores and the GPU above 85° Celsius.
The housing provides direct access to the various I/O ports of the Raspberry Pi 4, including gpio. The housing ensures that the computer board has an on and off button and this is configurable by the user. The dimensions are 96x68x28mm and the housing comes with four brackets to mount it on the wall or the back of a monitor.
Cooler Master has not yet announced a price and release date. The company plans to put a Kickstarter page online with more details next week.
