Cooler Master has announced two new PhD water coolers. These are V2 versions of the MasterLiquid ML120L and ML240L. The new models get a new pump and different RGB fans. It is not yet known when the coolers will come to Europe.

The ML120L V2 and ML240L V2, as the product names suggest, have a 120mm and 240mm radiator respectively. The radiators are both 27.2mm thick. That is 0.2mm thicker than that of the current Ml120L and ML240L. The cooling surface of the radiators has been increased by 20 percent over the older model, by using larger fins. Also, the coolers include a new pump with a two-chamber design. Older Cooler Master PhD coolers didn’t have this. The company has also provided the pump with edpm rubber, which should provide protection against leaks.

Cooler Master also includes updated SickleFlow 120 RGB fans. These fans can run between 650rpm and 1800rpm, producing between 6 and 27 dBa of noise. The fans move up to 1.76 cubic meters of air per minute and deliver a static pressure of up to 2.5 mmH2O. The fans that come with current models produce up to 30dBa at 2000rpm and had a maximum static pressure of 2.34 mmH₂O, Hardware.info writes.

Both PhD water coolers are now available in the United States. The 120mm variant costs 70 dollars there. Converted and with VAT, that is about 78.26 euros. The 240mm model in turn costs 80 dollars, which amounts to 89.44 euros including VAT. Official euro prices are not yet known. Cooler Master has not yet announced when the water coolers will be available in Europe.
