Cooler Master Introduces Mini-itx Enclosure
With the Elite 120 Advanced, Cooler Master has expanded its range of housings. The Elite 120 Advanced offers space for a mitx motherboard and would be suitable for use as a home theater PC, among other things.
The small housing is 240mm wide, 207mm high and 401mm deep. This makes the housing quite high for use as an HTPC, but it does offer a lot of space for components. In the Elite 120 Advanced therefore fits, in addition to the mini-itx motherboard, a full-fledged atx power supply and an optical 5.25″ drive of regular height. There is also room for three 3.5″ hard drives or four 2.5″ hard drives. SSDs A processor cooler may be a maximum of 65mm high: the power supply is located above the motherboard.
The housing is deep enough to accommodate large video cards with two GPUs with a maximum length of 343 mm. The cooling is realized by up to three fans: a 120mm intake, an 80mm fan on the side and an optional 120mm fan for the hard drives. The Elite has an aluminum front panel containing one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and two audio connections. The housing is available from the end of July and has a suggested retail price of 45 euros.
