Cooler Master introduces a new budget housing. The MasterBox Lite 5 is a midtower with space for an atx motherboard. The housing comes with a side panel with a Plexiglas window. On the front is a removable panel that is also transparent.

Cooler Master has made the front panel of the MasterBox Lite 5 from dark tinted Plexiglas. If users place fans with LEDs on the front, they will be visible. The case is 45.4 cm high, has a steel chassis and is further finished with plastic panels. The width is 20cm and the depth is 46.8cm. The strips on the top and bottom of the front panel can be interchanged. Cooler Master supplies three trims in different colors.

The housing has room for an atx motherboard or smaller. There are mounting options for two 3.5″ HDDs and a drive bay for a 2.5″ HDD or SSD. There are no bays for 5.25″ drives such as DVD burners. The case offers space for CPU coolers up to 160mm high and video cards up to 400mm long.

Two 140mm fans or three 120mm fans can be placed at the front. There is room for a 120mm fan at the back and Cooler Master also supplies the latter as standard. A radiator of a maximum of 360mm can also be placed at the front, provided that it is not thicker than 50mm without fans. There are dust filters on the front and bottom of the housing.

The I/O panel offers two USB 3.0 ports and audio connections. Cooler Master will launch the MasterBox Lite 5 at the end of May for a suggested retail price of 50 euros.
