Cooler Master has announced a housing for the NUC Ghost Canyon. The Cooler Master NC100 offers space for a Compute Element card and a full-size GPU. The housing will be released in the second quarter of this year for $200.

The NC100 comes as a standalone case, although The Verge reports that Cooler Master also includes cables and a 650W SFX power supply with an 80+ Gold rating. The housing also contains a backplane to which users can connect an Intel Compute Element and a separate video card. Such a Compute Element is a kind of computer on a PCI-e card, containing a cpu, chipset, ram and storage.

The NC100 has a volume of 7.5 liters, which makes the volume larger than Intel’s own NUC 9 Extreme 5-liter case. The recently announced Razer Tomahawk is a size larger with a volume of 10 liters.

Cooler Master reports that the NC100 will be released in the second half of 2020. The product has a suggested retail price of USD 200, which, converted and including VAT, amounts to approximately 218 euros. The housing will also be available in white.

The company said partners will also sell prebuilt PCs with the NC100 and Compute Element cards upon release. For example, CyberPowerPC comes with a NOX computer based on the NC100. This includes a Compute Element card with an Intel Core i9-9980HK, a maximum of 64GB ram and three m2 slots, each of which can be filled with SSDs of up to 4TB. Users can also choose from a separate video card from AMD or Nvidia.

The PC also has five USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports with throughput speeds of up to 5Gbit/s, two Thunderbolt 3 connections, a Gigabit LAN connector, an HDMI 2.0a connection and a Toslink connector. 7.1 audio is also supported via 3.5mm jacks. Furthermore, the NOX supports WiFi 6 thanks to the presence of an 802.11ax radio and Bluetooth 5. The company does not specify when the NOX will be on the market. Recommended retail prices are also unknown.
