Remedy will release Control for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Details of the new version of the game have not yet been released, but maybe raytraced on the next-gen consoles, as with the PC version.
More details about the next-gen version of Control will follow at a later date, Remedy Games writes on Twitter. For now, the studio has only confirmed that the game will be released for the new consoles. Whether buyers of the current versions will be upgraded to the improved variant is not yet clear.
Control came out in August last year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. The PC version has support for ray tracing and since the new consoles also have hardware that supports that, it is possible that those improved lighting effects will come to the revamped console game.
