Control gets patch for Epic Games Store issues
Remedy Entertainment has released a software update for Control, which should fix the issues with the Epic Games Store. Players who had purchased the game from Epic’s digital store were required to remain online while playing.
The publisher has a message on Twitter posted apologizing for recent issues with players who purchased the game from the Epic Games Store. It is software version 1.04.01, which is this weekend released. Remedy also says that the problem was not with Epic, so the error was in Control’s software.
Shortly after the release of an update for Control, it turned out that players who had bought the game in the Epic Games Store were obliged to stay online in order to play the game. In addition, support for the Steam Controller was accidentally removed. So these errors have been rolled back with the recently released software update.
The shortcoming was in the update that brought the shooting mode to the shooter. Players gain access to a camera, which they can control by using the left and right thumbsticks, while other buttons on the controller can pan the image. Remedy released Control in August.
