Commandos 2 will be released as an HD remaster at the end of 2019 for all consoles, tablets and PC

Publisher Kalypso Media has announced an HD remaster of Commandos 2. This graphically revamped version of the original will be released in Q4 this year for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows, Mac, Linux, Android tablets and iPad.

Kalypso Media reports that the HD remaster of Commandos 2 has updated graphics and improved controls, so that the renewed version should be playable on contemporary platforms. Just like in the original Commandos 2 from 2001, this HD remaster centers on a small group of elite soldiers who have to wreak havoc on the Germans during World War II with their ingenuity and specific skills. This new version of Commandos 2 follows after Kalypso Media acquired the rights to the game from Pyro Studios in 2018. Commandos 2 HD Remaster is being developed by Yippee Entertainment.

The video published by the German publisher also takes a brief look at Praetorians, a strategy game that revolves around the expeditions of the Roman general Julius Caesar, in which he must eventually become emperor. An HD remaster is also being made of this original, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The developer responsible for this HD remaster is Torus Games. Both titles will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, although an exact release date has not yet been announced.
