Colombian retailer puts product pages of Moto G5 smartphones online
A Colombian retailer has put online the product page of what would be Lenovo’s Moto G5 and G5 Plus. Lenovo probably plans to present the phone at the Mobile World Congress telecom fair in a week and a half
Colombian retailer Ktronix has taken the pages offline again, but the product pages of the Moto G5 Plus and G5 can still be found via Google’s cache. The phones are very similar in design, but differ around the camera and in the frame, among other things. It is also possible that the materials used are different.
In addition, there are many differences in the characteristics. The G5 is smaller, has a smaller screen and a different soc. The cameras are also different. The page of the G5 Plus also mentions an ip67 rating for water resistance and dust resistance, which does not seem to be the case with the regular G5.
Lenovo will hold a presentation on the day of the Mobile World Congress telecom fair in Barcelona in a week and a half. There, the manufacturer will probably announce the G5 and G5 Plus. Rumors have it that they will hit stores as early as March. The prices stated by the retailer are currently approximately 229 and 295 euros.
