Codemasters adds Formula 2 to F1 2019

Codemasters is going to add the Formula 2 Championship to F1 2019. At release, the game will include the 2018 season and later this year the company will add the current season. F1 2019 will be released on June 28.

Codemasters announced some new details on Friday about the upcoming release of F1 2019. For example, the company is adding the Formula 2 championship including online functionality. In addition, the studio will integrate three former F2 drivers into the career mode: George Russell, Lando Norris and Alexander Albon.

In addition to the regular version, a Legends edition will be released in which players can drive the McLaren MP4/5B and Ferrari F1-90 of drivers Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost respectively. Legends edition buyers can play three days earlier than regular edition buyers.

Furthermore, there will be an Anniversary Edition because it is the tenth F1 game from Codemasters. With a pre-order of this release, the player will be able to use two race cars from the 2010 season, the Ferrari F10 and the McLaren MP4-25. Codemaster also shows some game covers. On the Benelux cover, Max Verstappen is next to Lewis Hamilton.

F1 2019 will be out on June 28, a date that falls between that of the GP of France and the GP of Austria.
