Code points to YouTube streaming and free trial month for Stadia

Google may give new Stadia users a free trial in the future. The game streaming service will also have the option to stream to YouTube. There are hints in the app’s code that point to that.

The code was found by 9to5Google, which parsed version 2.7 of the Android app’s .apk. In it, the site found, among other things, indications that there may be a free trial for the Pro version of the service. The code includes the ability to sign up without the need for a paid Stadia code. This is in preparation for the arrival of the free Base version, but it is also possible to take a month of Stadia Pro for free.

In addition to the free trial, there are also instructions for YouTube streaming in the code. In addition, users can stream their gameplay directly to the video platform. That feature has been mentioned by Google since the first announcement, but until now the possibility did not exist. There would be new buttons to start, stop and pause streams. According to 9to5Google, Stadia will also limit the number of new signups. There are warnings in the code warning that the limit of new registrations has been reached and players will be temporarily unable to log in.
