Code points out that Google is working on Android’s nighttime notes feature
Code in a new version of the Digital Wellbeing Settings for Android indicates that Google is working on a way for users to enter notes at night, then the phone will prompt users in the morning with a notification.

The function is called Night Notes in the code, says XDA-Developers. It’s unknown how the phone records notes, but it’s presumably done with voice commands to prevent users from looking at the screen at night. It is also unclear where the notes will be placed: it seems that Google is developing a separate app for this. Nightly notes can be useful for people who get ideas around bedtime and are afraid to forget them or who want to remember dreams.
XDA-Developers also came across a function to track sleeping habits with Digital Wellbeing. This is done on the basis of data from the Clock app and input from, among other things, the light sensor. The feature doesn’t seem to track sleep based on other sensors, but only calculates how long the phone was in the dark before the alarm went off.
The code of apps can often indicate the arrival of new functions early on; By decompiling the code of Android apps, several sites in the past have discovered new features early on that the developers hadn’t announced yet.
