CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered Gets Object-Hunting Player Mode
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered gets a variation on the Prop Hunt mode, where the roles are reversed and the objects, such as a chair or a TV set, no longer have to hide from their assailants, but instead hunt themselves to go. The mode is temporarily available.
Developer Raven Software made announced the news on Twitter. The variant of the Prop Hunt mode, called Mad Props, is available for a limited time. From Friday night to August 25, players who take on the role of the objects no longer need to hide, but can take revenge by chasing down the human opponents.
Raven Software announced in early August that it would continue to add Prop Hunt to the game. The developer had organized an election on Twitter, where gamers could vote for Prop Hunt or the zombie mode Slasher via retweets; the winning mode would definitely be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Prop Hunt won the vote convincingly.
Prop Hunt was first introduced on March 30 with Modern Warfare Remastered. It turned out to be a popular mode at the time, but the addition was initially temporary. In late April and late May, Prop Hunt was added again, lasting for a weekend.
Prop Hunt is a hide-and-seek mode, in which a team of armed attackers is tasked with finding subjects that are hiding. Those players who have to hide can ‘disguise’ themselves as inconspicuous objects, such as a table, a television set or a wooden crate. Modern Warfare Remastered has been available as a standalone game for the PlayStation 4 since the end of June and is also available as a direct purchase via Steam for a while.
