Clubhouse starts testing games in Rooms
Audio chat app Clubhouse has started testing playing games in the app’s Rooms. The intention is that participants can play these games together. The first game contains questions to break the ice.
With the games, Clubhouse wants to distinguish itself from the countless cloned functions in other apps, suspects Techcrunch. Meanwhile, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Discord, among others, have alternatives with the same function as Clubhouse. The company behind the audio chat app confirmed the existence of the test and provided information about the first game of Wild Cards. This is a game in which participants are asked questions to get to know each other better.
A game can be activated when setting up a new Room in the app. The function is in the apps for Android and iOS as a test. It is unknown how long the test will take and how many users are participating. In addition to the test, Clubhouse has also added a dark mode as a new feature in its apps and recently started offering text chat in Rooms. Clubhouse is a way to have live audio conversations with others in Rooms. Those Rooms usually have a theme to indicate what the conversation is about.
