Audio chat app Clubhouse is no longer invite-only. This allows anyone to download the Clubhouse app for iOS and Android and create a new account. Users on the waiting list are gradually gaining access to the audio chat platform.

Clubhouse founders Paul Davidson and Rohan Seth let us know in a blog post that the chat app left its beta phase on Monday. With that, the company has removed the waiting list system, allowing anyone to create a new account. Users on the waiting list are added to the app over time.

A spokesperson for Clubhouse reports opposite The Verge that millions of people on the waiting list are not immediately added to the platform, but that users can also manually register again via the app. The company also shows a new logo in the form of a kind of waving emoji. The app icon will also be changed to a photo of Justin “Meezy” Williams, rapper 21 Savage’s manager. The company says it will release a new update every one to two weeks.

Clubhouse came out for iOS last year and became very popular. The app lets users create chat rooms in which the hosts can talk to each other. Other users can also enter these rooms if allowed, but can only listen to the conversation. The app now has competition from various companies, which have incorporated Clubhouse’s functionality into their respective platforms. Earlier this year, Twitter introduced Spaces, Facebook and Discord introduced Clubhouse-like features and Spotify introduced its Greenhouse audio chat app.
