Classic fps Ion Maiden coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch in Q2 2019

Publisher 1C Entertainment has announced that the classic shooter Ion Maiden will be released in Q2 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game is already out on Steam Early Access.

1C Entertainment is bringing Ion Maiden to consoles along with 3D Realms and developer Voidpoint, but exact release dates have not yet been announced. The final Steam version will also follow at a later date. The game is currently available as an Early Access title for $20. This is a shortened preview campaign.

The Build engine is also used for the console versions. The traditional first person shooter gameplay will soon be released on consoles, supplemented with modern additions, such as better physics, headshots, support for controllers and an autosave function.

3D Realms was founded in 1987 and was known in the 1990s as a publisher of games such as Duke Nukem 3D, Commander Keen and Wolfenstein 3D.
