Civilization: Beyond Earth expands with Rising Tide
Developer Firaxis Games is working on an expansion for Civilization: Beyond Earth, which should be released in the fall. The expansion is called Rising Tide and players can build floating cities on it. Furthermore, diplomacy can be practiced.
In Rising Tide, the playing field is greatly expanded by allowing players to start a settlement floating on the water surface of the oceans on the strange planet to which the action has moved in Beyond Earth. In that settlement, players can use the resources that the ocean provides, but at the same time are threatened by the beasts that live in the water.
Furthermore, Firaxis Games wants to build in more options for diplomacy and the game will get four new playable factions. Publisher 2K Games announces one of them: the nomadic Al Falah. In the Rising Tide, players will also be able to collect and combine alien relics into a new Artifact System. Finally, there are two new ecosystems. One is a primeval world full of volcanic activity. Rising Tide is an extension of Civilization: Beyond Earth, which was released for Windows in 2014. The expansion will be released in the autumn and will cost 30 euros.
