The Chinese approval authority Tenaa has put pictures and specifications online of the upcoming OnePlus 3 smartphone. There don’t seem to be any surprises. According to the body, the phone has an OLED screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

The OLED screen has a diagonal of 5.5 “, just like the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. There were long rumors that it would be a 5 ” screen, but the listing on the site of Tenaa excludes that. The listing mentions a quad-core SOC with a maximum clock speed of 2.15GHz, which matches the characteristics of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820.

The device measures 15.2 x 7.4 cm and is 7.3 mm thick, with a weight of 160 grams. Based on the images, it is a metal housing with antenna lines, as has been seen on many smartphones since the 2013 HTC One M7, including models from Apple, Xiaomi and Meizu. The battery has a capacity of 3000mAh. The front appears to have a rounded glass panel, something the 2011 Nokia N9 first had and has grown in popularity since the release of the iPhone 6 in 2014.

The camera on the back has a maximum resolution of sixteen megapixels, which goes up to eight megapixels on the front. Furthermore, the listing does not provide any details about the cameras. There have been rumors about the OnePlus 3 for weeks and the images correspond to renders that appeared earlier. OnePlus will probably present its fourth smartphone next month. In anticipation of this, it has lowered the prices of its previous phones.
