Cherry Introduces MX Board 1.0 Backlight Keyboard

Cherry has announced the Cherry MX MX Board 1.0 Backlight, a mechanical keyboard with MX switches in Silent Red and Brown finishes. The black keyboard has a white backlight.

The Cherry MX MX Board 1.0 Backlight is fully n-key rollover with anti-ghosting. The white lighting is dimmable and can be displayed in various modes, although Cherry does not give any examples. The keycaps have a protective layer and the Win key is removable and can be switched off.

It is a full keyboard with numeric island for a total of 105 keys. At the front is a palm rest and at the bottom are feet that can put the keyboard in three height positions. The USB cable has a length of 1.80 meters and the USB connector is illuminated.

The German manufacturer releases the product with MX Silent Red and MX Brown switches for a suggested retail price of 90 euros. Cherry is known for its mechanical switches, but is increasingly confronted with competitors who make their own mechanical switches, such as Razer and Logitech.
