Cherry has introduced the DW 9000 Slim, a wireless keyboard and mouse set that runs on rechargeable batteries. The combination can be connected via Bluetooth 4.0 as well as using the supplied nano USB receiver.

The set’s black keyboard should stand out with its flat design. The German manufacturer provided the keyboard with a metal plate to reinforce it and used Cherry SX scissor switches for the keys. The caps lock, scroll lock and num lock keys have a status LED. Cherry provides four rubber feet to adjust the working angle of the keyboard.

The mouse houses six buttons and an optical scroll wheel. Via one of the buttons, the user can quickly switch between three sensor resolutions, ranging from 600 to 1600 dpi. Like the keyboard, the mouse can be charged via the included micro USB cable, even when the peripherals are in use.

In addition to Bluetooth, you can also connect via a small USB receiver. It uses the 2.4GHz band and the signal is encrypted with AES-128. Switching between the two connections is done with a button on the keyboard and mouse. In this way it is also possible to connect the DW 9000 Slim to two computers at the same time.

The Cherry DW 9000 Slim will be on the market in February and will have a suggested retail price of 99 euros.
