‘Cheaper Samsung S20 Fan Edition gets 120Hz AMOLED screen’
The cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 will get a 6.5 “screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, according to information from WinFuture. Two versions of the S20 Fan Edition will be released: one with 4g and one with 5g. on an Exynos soc.
WinFuture claims to have all the information about the devices, although the price is still unknown. It is the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition or FE. Renders of that phone already appeared last month. According to WinFuture there are two variants of the device. The 4G variant has an Exynos 990 processor. There will also be a 5g variant, which uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865. The socs are the only aspects in which the phones differ.
The S20 FE gets a 6.5 “superamoled display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, and a pixel density of 407ppi. The display would have a refresh rate of 120Hz, on a Gorilla Glass 3 panel. The edges are not curved like many others. Samsung models. The phone would also have 6GB of ram, and 128GB of ufs 3.1 storage. The battery is 4500mAh, and charges at 15W. The phone also has wifi 6, bluetooth 5, and an ip68 rating.
There are three cameras on the phone, according to WinFuture. It concerns a 12-megapixel sensor with dual PDAF, an ultra-wide-angle lens of 12 megapixels and a field-of-view of 123 degrees, and a camera with a telephoto lens with three times optical zoom.
The price of the phone is not yet known, although the South Korean website The Elec recently spoke about a price of around 640 euros. Samsung would present the phone in October.
