CD Projekt Red shows 15 minutes of new Cyberpunk 2077 images
CD Projekt Red has shown new gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077. It concerns 15 minutes of never-before-seen video material with both cutscenes and gameplay footage.
The images show how main character V plugs herself into a kind of Matrix-like world, the ‘Cyberspace’. The gameplay footage shows a mission that takes place somewhere halfway through the game, according to the Polish studio. That happens in Pacifica, a deserted district in the game where gangsters have taken over street life. V must infiltrate a shopping center occupied by a rival group.
The gameplay images go deeper into the gameplay of the game, but also the different ways in which it can be played. For example, players can choose to play solo and see themselves working forward with a lot of violence, or just collaborate a lot with others. In such a case, for example, it is easier to carry large weapons or use enemies as human shields. It is also possible to play more as a hacker, by using technology and controlling enemies from a distance.
According to the makers, the player will be presented with many choices in Cyberpunk 2077. They can save or kill characters, or betray certain gangs. All those choices affect the further course of the story. Keanu Reeves is also briefly seen in the trailer. He plays V’s imaginary friend Johnny Silverhands, but his exact role in the story is still unknown. During the trailer, the voiceover says that “that’s a story for next time.”
