CD Projekt RED Releases Official Mod Tool For Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt RED has released an official mod tool for Cyberpunk 2077. REDmod allows players to create and install their own mods for the PC version of the game. The tool is free to use for PC players.
The developer is adding “integrated support for installing and loading mods” in Cyberpunk 2077 with REDmod. CD Projekt RED says it is possible to use REDmod in addition to existing mods for Cyberpunk 2077. The tool is also optional. Modders don’t necessarily have to use it, but according to CD Projekt RED, the tool “makes adding and using new mods easier.”
Cyberpunk 2077 players who don’t want to use REDmod can upload their old mods from the game’s archive folder. REDmod is free to download from steam and the website from CD Project RED. Just like the game itself, the mod needs regular patches to ‘ensure compatibility’.
Earlier this week, CD Projekt RED announced the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Apart from a first teaser, little is known about the expansion, except that it should be released in 2023. The Polish developer also showed a new trailer for the Netflix series that will be released on September 13.
