CD Projekt Red has released patch 1.23 for Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles, PC and Stadia. The update fixes several bugs and should also bring performance improvements. The patch comes shortly after the news that the game will return to the PlayStation Store.

Developer CD Projekt Red lists all changes in Patch 1.23 on its website. In addition to fixes for specific bugs with quests and the open game world, there are several optimizations that should improve stability, performance and reduce crashes. The developer specifically mentions a memory tweak that makes less identical-looking NPCs appear in the same environment.

In addition, “various console CPU optimizations” have been implemented. The changelog also lists some specific improvements for the PC and Xbox versions. For example, in the PC version there is a fix for the problem where the game stops responding when the key combination Alt+Enter is used to switch between fullscreen and Window mode.

CD Projekt Red does not mention specific improvements for the PlayStation version. Last week, publisher CD Projekt announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for purchase again in the PlayStation Store from June 21. Sony had removed the game from its digital download store shortly after the game’s release in December, due to the many problems.

In a statement, Sony told Polygon that it is still not recommended to play Cyberpunk 2077 on a PlayStation 4 due to performance issues. Sony recommends playing the game on a PlayStation 4 Pro or PlayStation 5.
