‘CD Projekt RED is working on three Cyberpunk 2077 projects’
CD Projekt RED is said to be working on two other Cyberpunk projects in addition to the regular game. It would be at least a multiplayer mode. What the other projects are is not known, but at least they take place in the Cyberpunk universe, according to the CEO.
Many details about the other projects have not been disclosed. The statements come from CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kiciński during a press conference with the Polish press, the website Bankier reports. According to Kiciński, the developer has three different teams working on Cyberpunk games. One of those teams consists of forty employees and would work on the multiplayer mode for the game.
No further details are known about the projects, such as whether they are successors or minigames like CD Projekt RED did with the Gwent games of The Witcher. “Our next project will also take place in the Cyberpunk universe,” says Kiciński. “We are already working on it and see it as a major and innovative project.” According to Kiciński, it is only logical that there will be several parts. “With all the time and money we put into the studio, it makes sense from an economic point of view that we think about series rather than a standalone game.” Kiciński says that game journalists can get started with the game before 2020. More information about the other projects will also be released at that time.
