on a shared screenshot the production plans of the Polish game developer CD Projekt RED for the year 2022 are listed. Besides the development work for the first expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, time will also be made available this year for further support for Cyberpunk 2077. Presumably this concerns further bug fixes and optimizations to the game.
In 2022, the Polish game developer will also be working on a new The Witcher game that will run on Unreal Engine 5 instead of the proprietary REDengine used in previous The Witcher games. The developer will also be tinkering with the next-gen version of ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ this year. Earlier it was announced that the release of that upgrade would be postponed to an unknown date. The upgrade was initially expected to be released last year, but has already been postponed to the second quarter of 2022.
The roadmap also shows that the developer has allocated development time this year for The Molasses Flood studio that will in October of last year has taken over. There will be work on an as yet unannounced project based on an already existing CD Projekt RED franchise. The roadmap also mentions the introduction of GWENT, the card game around The Witcher franchise, as well as research for unannounced projects.
