CD Projekt Red Announces Cyberpunk 2077 Hardware Requirements
CD Projekt Red announced during a new Night City Wire which requirements PCs must meet in order to run Cyberpunk 2077 and which minimum system specifications the studio recommends to run the scifi game.
The system requirements to be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 anyway are relatively low. Even on Windows 7, with 8GB of ram and a hdd with 70GB of free storage space, the game should be ready to start. Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 7 since January 14 this year. Cyberpunk requires DirectX 12, but DirectX12 games can run on Windows 7. As far as video cards are concerned, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 470 is sufficient to run Cyberpunk 2077. You can also use a hard drive, but according to the maker an SSD is recommended.
To run the game smoothly with respectable graphics requires at least an Intel Core-i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G, 12GB ram and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 Fury. CD Projekt Red announced the requirements on Friday during its third Night City Wire stream. Initially, the studio would provide more details about the game’s music during that stream, but the PC requirements popped up instead. Details about the music will follow at a later time.
CD Projekt Red also showed a video showing the various gangs that infest Night City and the studio announced the winners of a casemod competition. Cyberpunk 2077 will be released November 19.
