CD Projekt is satisfied with current stability and performance of Cyberpunk 2077
Publisher CD Projekt is satisfied with the current performance and stability of Cyberpunk 2077. The company does promise to continue to make improvements and to keep an eye on the wishes of players.
The patches released for Cyberpunk 2077 so far have mainly focused on improving the game’s performance and stability. According to the publisher, the game has now reached a ‘satisfactory level’ in those areas. Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD Projekt, made the statements during a conference at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The Polish TVN24 reported on that.
Developer CD Projekt Red will continue to work on fixing bugs and glitches and improving performance, but will also release updates over time with fixes for the “common systems” players are paying attention to. Kiciński does not mention specific matters, but he may be referring to criticism from players about, for example, the behavior of the NPCs in the game.
CD Projekt Red also recently released a Top Reported Issues list posted on his site. It contains issues reported by many players. For now, this concerns three bugs related to quests. The studio says it will pass these reports on to developers to investigate.
In mid-June, CD Projekt Red released the latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077. Version 1.23 was packed with several bug fixes and performance improvements for the console versions. After the release of that patch, the game has also become available again in the PlayStation Store, but Sony does add a big warning in which it is recommended not to play the game on a PlayStation 4.
Digital Foundry recently published a test of Cyberpunk 2077 with the 1.23 update. The site looked at the PlayStation versions. Although improvements have been made and the game crashes less often, the game on the PlayStation 4 still has many bugs and performance issues, according to the test.
