Castle Crashers Remastered Coming September 17th For Nintendo Switch
The remaster of Castle Crashers comes out on September 17 for Nintendo Switch. There will also be a version for the PlayStation 4, but exactly when it will be released is not yet known. The game supports local multiplayer on both platforms.
Developer The Behemoth announced the release date of Castle Crashers Remastered today, shortly after the company first wrote that the game was coming. The remaster will run at 60 frames per second, double the original. The textures are also five times larger than the first version of the game, which the makers say “makes the game five times more beautiful.” The Switch version also supports the vibration function, and local multiplayer for four players. Players can also play online. The PS4 will also support multiplayer.
Caste Crashers Remasterd is very similar to the original co-op sidescrolling game from 2008. It is not the first time that the game has been remastered. This also happened for the Xbox One in 2015. The makers say that the game will eventually come to the Playstation 4, but no definitive date has yet been announced. “The development process took longer than we hoped due to all the challenges. The PS4 version is currently in the approval phase,” they write. “That’s why we can’t name the exact date yet. The makers also say that crossplay between different platforms is not supported for the time being.
