Capcom will release Resident Evil 4 remake for consoles and PC in March 2023
Capcom is working on a remake of Resident Evil 4. Here, the company is not taking the story of the original game one-on-one, but talking about a deeper story that preserves the ‘essence’ of the game. The remake is coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
The Resident Evil 4 remake is going to use the RE engine; the engine first used in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. capcom says that the game will be graphically polished for the current-gen consoles and get modernized gameplay. The storyline will be ‘refreshed’ and deepened for the remake, preserving the essence and legacy of the game.
The remake takes place two years after the events of Resident Evil 2. Leading actor Leon S. Kennedy is tasked by the President of the United States to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter, a task that takes Kennedy to a European village.
It’s not the first Resident Evil game to get a remake; Resident Evil 2 and 3: Nemesis received similar remakes. Resident Evil 4 came out in 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube and later came to PC and many more consoles, right up to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The remake will be released on March 24.
