Capcom is also considering bringing Resident Evil Village to PS4 and Xbox One
The game Resident Evil Village announced last summer may also be released for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, developer Capcom says. The game will initially only be released for the next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles.
That’s what Capcom said at a meeting at the Tokyo Games Show. A video of the presentation has been put online, Engadget discovered. A company employee indicated that it is currently being investigated whether Resident Evil Village can also be developed for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X. However, no promises can be made, Capcom said. As a result, it is also unclear when a possible PS4 and Xbox One release will appear.
Resident Evil Village is the eighth member of the popular game series, of which more than a hundred million units have already been sold. The game was announced in June with a release next year for next-gen consoles as well as PC.
