Call of Duty: WWII Finally Gets Prop Hunt and Gun Game Mode
Developer Sledgehammer has announced that it has permanently added Prop Hunt and Gun Game game modes to the shooter Call of Duty: WWII. Both game modes were previously available for a limited time.
The new game modes can be found in the Features playlist tab, such as announced Sledgehammer. According to the developer, these are two popular game modes that were in high demand. The Gun Game mode now also has a system that automatically kicks players who are inactive for five minutes.
Available for a while around December 15th last year, Gun Game is essentially a free-for-all mode that pits eight players against each other, as they climb in rank by taking out an opponent with each available weapon.
Available for a week at the end of January, Prop Hunt is a hide-and-seek mode, where a team of armed attackers is tasked with finding subjects that are hiding. Those players who have to hide can disguise themselves as ‘inconspicuous’ objects, such as a table, a wooden crate or a television.
Prop Hunt mode was also permanently added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered last year, the graphically polished version of the original, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Raven Software then left gamers to choose between Prop Hunt or the zombie mobus called Slasher. The vast majority then chose Prop Hunt, after which this mode was added by the developer.
