Call of Duty: Warzone appears to be getting a mobile version
Call of Duty: Warzone appears to be getting a mobile version. This can be deduced from a vacancy that has now been removed or has already been filled on the site of Activision, the publisher of the Call of Duty games. It is not clear whether it is a version for smartphones or the Nintendo Switch.
The vacancy has since disappeared, but PC Gamer, among others, lists a number of parts of the original vacancy, with specific Warzone-related matters being mentioned. For example, the task described is that the applicant must use and adapt the essential features of Warzone for the consoles and the PC for the best “mobile realization”.
The new employee must also further improve the Warzone formula by proposing and producing specific, mobile add-ons. He must also adjust certain features in order to achieve the best possible mobile experience. In addition, the new hire will act as the primary point of contact within the Warzone Mobile team, revolving around decisions about user features, user experience and overall quality.
Activision already has Call of Duty: Mobile. This mobile game came out last October and includes a battle royale mode in addition to regular multiplayer options. Warzone is the battle royale mode of Call of Duty released last year and is available on consoles and PC. Whether a mobile version of Warzone will actually be released and if so, when is still unknown. Its arrival is obvious, given the popularity of Warzone, among other things: this mode already had 75 million players in August.
