Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will get a second, smaller playing field on February 15
Infinity Ward will release the second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on February 15. This gives battleroyale part Warzone 2, among other things, a second playing field that is much smaller compared to the current playing field.
The second season will feature a new playing field; this is a much requested addition. The Resurgence mode will also return. This is a game mode that was present in the original Warzone with a smaller playing field and differs from the regular mode in the sense that there is no gulag. Players who are felled can return to the battlefield after a while, provided at least one teammate is alive. This mode became very popular in 2020 when the smaller map Rebirth Island came out as part of the original Warzone.
Activision says that the development teams involved will implement various changes based on wishes from the player community, although the company does not elaborate on this. In any case, there will also be new multiplayer playing fields for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and new game modes and weapons. In addition, rankings are back from February 15.
Developer Infinity Ward says to release more details in a then-to-publish blog post next week. According to the studio, there are also “exciting adjustments” for obtaining weapons and items, the gulag and the weapon loadouts. The second season was initially scheduled to be released on February 1, but that has been postponed by two weeks.
