Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28

The new Call of Duty that will be released this year will be a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Activision Blizzard has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28. It is not yet known for which platforms.

In a trailer, Activision Blizzard shows only the logo and artwork for the upcoming shooter. Furthermore, only a release date is shown. The game is being developed by Infinity Ward. This studio is also responsible for the development of the earlier Modern Warfare games.

The new game will be a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward confirmed earlier this year that there would be a sequel to both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. It is therefore not a remake or remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2009.
