Call of Duty: Mobile has been downloaded more than 300 million times
The mobile version of Call of Duty has now been downloaded by more than 300 million players, publisher Activision Blizzard has announced. The milestone comes about a year after the game is released.
Via a message on Twitter, Activision Blizzard announced that more than 300 million downloads have been recorded in a year. This makes the game one of the most popular mobile shooters, although it is not known how many active players there are; the publisher speaks of ‘millions’ of players every month, but there is no precise figure.
Earlier this month, Sensor Tower, a mobile app market researcher, estimated that players spent about $ 480 million in the game. Incidentally, the game can be downloaded and played for free; the makers earn their money with microtransactions.
Call of Duty: Mobile came out in October last year. The mobile version of Call of Duty is inspired by games from both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series. The game includes modes such as Frontline, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Gun Game and Search & Destroy.
