Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare may be coming to Wii U
An official E3 website states that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is also coming to Wii U. When the new Call of Duty game was announced, the Wii U was not mentioned in the list of systems that the game will be released for.
That the Wii U is mentioned as one of the platforms for Advanced Warfare on E3Insider, was discovered by a user of the Call of Duty forum. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on Windows, PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox one, and Xbox 360 according to initial announcements. Also on the game’s official website, users cannot pre-order a Wii U version as of yet.
It wouldn’t be unique though if Advanced Warfare comes to Wii U; both Black Ops II and Ghost are already available for console. However, the Wii U version of these games was developed by Treyarch and Advanced Warfare is only made by Sledgehammer Games. Treyarch is also the only Call of Duty developer to pay attention to Nintendo consoles, bringing Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops to the original Wii, among others.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4, according to a trailer that Activision put online in early May. In the trailer, actor Kevin Spacey, known from House of Cards, among others, plays a role as head of an organization that wants to take on the American government.
