Bungie is bringing Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris back to Destiny this month
Bungie will be reintroducing Destiny items Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris to the game on October 13 and 16, respectively. The two events have received multiple adjustments. At Iron Banner, for example, the Tempering xp buff is now automatically active after purchase and grows every day.
Bungie has posted the full content of the updates on its website. To play Iron Banner, developer Bungie now recommends a minimum Light level of 230. Only when a Guardian has reached level 40 can he lead a fireteam in Iron Banner. In addition, the drop rate at Iron Banner has been increased and players can now get both weapons and armor. Gear players purchase from Lord Saladin during Iron Banner must now be paid for with the new Legendary Marks. In addition, Iron Banner now has nine daily bounties and three weekly, which allow players to earn Legendary Marks.
In the updated Trials of Osiris, the recommended minimum Light level is 290 and players need a minimum of 251 Light to lead a fireteam. The drops in Trials of Osiris now only come in the form of rewards at the end of matches and are only for the winning team. The more a team wins, the better the items are. The losing team will still receive Passage Coins. Players who win nine times in the Trials of Osiris can still progress to The Lighthouse. Teams are now also pitted against other teams with a similar number of wins, to keep the challenge appropriate. Every weekend there are bounties available at Brother Vance so that players can earn gear even without winning matches.
Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris will reopen on October 13 and 16, respectively. Since the release of the Destiny expansion The Taken King on September 15, the two modes have been absent from the game. After the game mechanics tweaks introduced in The Taken King, Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris also had to be tweaked, which is why they were absent for a while.
